| Sholom Home Care is a leading home health care organization providing services throughout the Twin Cities. It is part of the Sholom spectrum of services with campuses in St. Louis Park and St. Paul, which has been providing health care, residential, and social services for more than 100 years.
Sholom Home Care is hiring on-call companions to work in the community. Shifts are scheduled on an hourly basis.

Duties: |
Companions perform many tasks depending upon client needs:
- Companionship to prevent loneliness and isolation
- Emotional and social support through listening and active conversation
- Accompanying clients on outings, appointments, events
- Housekeeping and laundry duties
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Provide an observant eye for changes in client’s well being, i.e. changes in mood, behavior, required assistance, etc.

Qualifications: |
- Applicants will have at least 6 months of prior companion care experience
- They will meet the physical requirements of the job, pass pre-employment screening and background checks.
- The applicant will demonstrate a desire to work with this population, primarily seniors.
- The applicant will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively
- The applicant will demonstrate documentation skills
- The applicant will demonstrate understanding of confidentiality and privacy of client information.
