As the Systems Developer, you will be responsible for assisting with analysis and the development of modifications to packaged or custom software and/or developing new custom solutions developed to support specific business needs. You will work closely with the Senior Systems Developer (Tech Lead) and Business Analysts to develop or maintain systems as designed. Main Focus is on the maintenance and enhancement of packaged applications such as PeopleSoft. A Systems Developer must have skill in converting specifications and procedures of moderate complexity into application and software solutions. Writes and communicates moderately complex program specifications. Communicates well both verbally and in writing.

Duties:

- Performs analysis, development (coding), and implementation of modifications to purchased or custom applications. - Participates in the coding of interfaces, data conversions, reports, and customizations providing the required functionality is not supplied by the package. - Collaborates with internal users and information technology colleagues on detailed customer requirements and functional specifications and then translates those into technical design solutions. - Writes detailed unit test plans, including test cases and expected results and then performs unit testing and records actual results. - Is able to document code and assist in developing end-user support plans and implementation plans. - Provide 3rd level production support by performing thorough analysis and code fixes. - Participates in the ongoing development of technical best practices.

Qualifications:

- Associates degree (Bachelors preferred) from a college or university in Business Administration or Computer Science. - Two plus (2+) years experience in software development, systems implementation, and packaged software integrations. - Two plus (2+) years experience with one or more of the following: Packaged ERP software like PeopleSoft, Microsoft SQL Server application development, HTML, XML, Java, JavaScript, VB. - Or equivalent combination of education, experience and area of expertise
