Description: | We have an immediate need for a Senior Digital Hardware Engineer with 10+ year’s experience. In this fast-paced position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of functions ranging from designing high end embedded micro controller boards to hands on troubleshooting and validating your designs. Ideally the candidate will have most or all of the following qualifications.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Engineering
• Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board layout requirements with mixed-signal circuitry.
• Experience interfacing with high-end embedded microprocessors.
• Knowledge of USB and Ethernet.
• Knowledge of DDR, DDRII, mDDR or DDRIII design and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of NAND design and troubleshooting.
• Post-design support and troubleshooting skills with hands-on lab experience using oscilloscopes, logic/spectrum analyzers and other test equipment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter
• Strong organization skills and committed to collaborative processes
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results on time
• In addition to the above qualifications the following would be beneficial:
• Knowledge of FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth protocols.
• Knowledge of PCIe, SDIO, and Display Port.
The ideal candidate will participate in the development and test strategies for devices and systems, work through hardware issues on a variety of platforms and ancillary devices and update processes and design documents.
Some presentation development for clients will be needed as well as concept development. The ideal candidate will design and implement hardware and sub-assemblies for microprocessor based products. Plans and conducts projects of medium to high complexity independently and as part of a development team.
