Description:

Christensen Farms is seeking a talented individual to assume the position of Senior Human Resource Business Partner. As one of the largest swine producers in the United States, we believe in continuous process improvement, idea initiation and implementation in order to meet objectives. The Sr. HR Business Partner will take pride in being part of the team to lead and continuously drive these initiatives.

The Senior HR Business Partner will be directly responsible for leading a series of HR initiatives and serve as a partner to key business stakeholders, providing specialist advice and leadership on a range of HR opportunities. The position places a high emphasis on the ability to work in partnership with each of the operations areas and lead and direct our recruiting team to meet objectives and goals.

The position is based out of our headquarters office in Sleepy Eye, MN and occasional travel is required. Depending on the territory, overnight travel and transportation by plane will be required.

Duties:

•Lead the field and headquarters recruiting functions through strategic recruitment planning and processes
•Provide employee relations support for managers and employees
•Drive implementation of a broad range of multiple human resource disciplines
•Provide coaching and direction for leadership
•Monitor compliance with state and federal requirements for applicant tracking and affirmative action plans
•Serve as a liaison with council and ongoing management of legal cases

Qualifications:

This position requires a professional degree with a HR emphasis or equivalent and minimum 10 years Human Resource experience.

Required Skills:
•Advanced knowledge of current HR policies and procedures applicable to multiple states
•Experienced in managing and evolving talent acquisition strategies
•Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
•Previous experience of developing and delivering training for associates
•Human resource project management experience
•Previous experience in supervising others
•Ability to exercise effective judgment
•Ability to maintain sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations
•Proven track record of establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships with internal and external partners
•Ability to maintain a strong sense of confidentiality
•Experience with budgeting and financial evaluation and control
•Strong proficiency in MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
•Bi-lingual a plus
